The problem with small jobs

Most trades don't want a two-hour job. You call about a sticking door and a hole in the drywall and either nobody calls back or someone quotes you a minimum that makes it absurd. So the list sits there for a year.

That's most of what we do. Bundle the list, knock it out in one visit, and it stops costing you a Saturday every month to think about.

What we will and won't take on

We do carpentry, drywall, doors, hardware, mounting, assembly, trim, minor repairs and general fixes — the broad middle of home maintenance.

We don't do work that legally requires a licensed electrician or plumber, and we'll say so rather than doing it badly. Swapping a fixture on existing wiring or a faucet on existing supply lines is fine. New circuits, panel work and repiping need a specialist, and we'd rather point you to one than create a problem that shows up in your walls two years from now.

Pricing

What Drives the Price

We don't publish flat rates, because a number quoted without seeing the job is either padded to cover the worst case or it's going to change later. Neither is fair to you. Here's what we're actually looking at when we price it:

  • How many items are on the list — bundling saves real money
  • Whether materials are already on site
  • Access and whether ladders or staging are needed
  • How much demolition or patching a repair uncovers
  • Rush timing, if you need it before a specific date

Estimates are free, there's no obligation, and you get the number before any work starts.

Questions

Straight Answers

Is there a minimum charge?

There's a minimum visit, which is why bundling your list is the smart move. One trip covering eight small jobs costs far less per item than eight separate visits.

Can you do it while I'm at work?

Often, yes, if you're comfortable with access arrangements. We'll text you photos as we go so you can see progress without being there.

What if you find something worse than expected?

We stop and call you before spending your money. Opening a wall to patch drywall occasionally reveals something real behind it — you'll hear about it with options, not a surprise on the invoice.

Do you handle rental turnovers?

Yes, and it's a good fit. Cleanout, patch, paint, re-key, fix, haul, mow — the whole turnover with one crew, so the unit is ready faster.
